Guests love the views at this hotel. The hotel overlooks Kuta Beach and is only approximately a two-minute walk from the surf, meaning that guests can easily get an eyeful of the picturesque exterior surroundings at any time. The on-site Ocean 27 Beach Club & Grill also adds views of the Indian Ocean directly from its pool.

Most guests are in agreement that the staff here are kind and respectful.

Many guests note that the rooms are often visibly dirty. It seems that the staff don't do a proper job of cleaning these rooms prior to the arrival of their guests. Additionally, this aspect is compounded by the fact that the rooms and hotel in general are dated in appearance. Many of the guests are simply let down by the aesthetics of the place.

The hotel is literally in the middle of Discovery Shopping Mall. While this admittedly provides easy access to shopping opportunities, guests say there is little privacy because of it. The setup is unorthodox and disconcerting to many.

The hotel's main entrance can be accessed through the mall until 10 p.m. However, once the mall closes, so does that mall entrance. As a result, guests report they are required to go through the car park or come in from the beach in order to gain access to their rooms. They say that this is inconvenient, and can also be a security issue.
