Positive Reviews
positive:
Hospitable and Homely
Reviewers routinely rave about the quintessential Southern charm exuded by warm and welcoming personnel. Because the majority of visitors to this hotel are either receiving medical treatment themselves or visiting a loved one who is, the ‘home-from-home' atmosphere fostered here by sincere staff is especially appreciated.
positive:
Remarkable Room Service
Those that prefer to dine in the comfort and privacy of their room are spoilt for choice by an extensive room-service menu. Expertly prepared, thoughtfully presented and reasonably priced, guests are quick to acknowledge the superior standard of the offerings and the accommodating attendants that deliver them.
positive:
Sweet Suites
Reviewers highly recommend upgrading to a spacious suite wherever possible, especially those travelling with children. With two bathrooms, separate living zone with sofa and TV, food-preparation area and work space, there really is room for all the family to be comfortable. Corner suites are especially roomy, if available.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking-Lot Problems
Guests arriving by car have experienced numerous issues when it comes to parking. The garage itself is in dire need of a deep clean and has a disconcerting number of warning signs pertaining to thefts. To compound maters further, spaces are tiny, meaning car doors are occasionally dented.
negative:
Dated Design
Patrons are perpetually saddened at the state of disrepair into which many parts of the hotel have fallen. Rooms and common areas haven't been modernised in an age, but rather than look retro, the 80s décor appears extremely dated and really depresses some travellers arriving with higher expectations.
negative:
Low-End Tech
While many of the facilities here can be described as high-end, failing room features are the exact opposite. Whether bemoaning the painfully-slow Wi-Fi, terrible TV reception or obsolete AC units, reviewers are routinely let down by the technological aspects of their accommodations and call for improvements all round.
