Guests were clearly very happy with their rooms. They described them as very comfortable and well laid out, making them a private oasis during their stay. They also mentioned that they were very stylish and that it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into their design.

One of the first things guests would bring up in their reviews was that the hotel’s staff were very good indeed. While the front desk staff came in for the most praise, others were said offer excellent customer service as well.

Guests were generally very pleased with the location of the hotel, saying that the proximity of the interstate made travel in the region much easier. Some even said that Mount Rushmore was a reasonable drive from the hotel.

A number of guests were unhappy with the breakfast offered at the hotel. One problem was that it was not complimentary, like many other hotels in this category. But even after paying, some guests were not impressed, saying that they would often run out of popular items and that other items were cold, when they should have been hot.

A remarkable number of guests experienced room assignment issues at check in. Desk staff were sometimes unable to find their booking at all and at other tines couldn’t offer the type of room that they had booked and received confirmation for.

A large number of guests felt that the room rates were too high. They reckoned that other equivalent hotels in similar locations in South Dakota were more reasonably priced.
