The front facing rooms have great views of the sea and are definitely worth the few extra pound for the upgrade. You can sit on your balcony and enjoy the view as you sip a cold drink on a summer’s evening. Just perfect.

The area is pure scenery, and the locals are so friendly that you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Everyone is willing to stop and chat, and there are plenty of shops and pubs nearby for you to wander around.

The rooms are in good order but dated and in need of a good scrub. Everything functions well, but you can’t get rid of that slightly dirty feeling of an uncleaned room. It’s a shame as the hotel is in a lovely location.

The en-suite bathrooms are in a state of cosmetic disrepair. They need to be decorated again so that they are more in keeping with what people expect to find at a hotel.
