Great first impression is guaranteed
The reception area is modern with separate check-in desks, a beautiful fountain with fish, and an impressive dining area. The moment you step in to the establishment, you can't help but to make a good first impression of the hotel.
positive:
Strategic location in Seattle
Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle North-Lynnwood has a very good location. It is just close enough to all the wonderful attractions Seattle has to offer, but far enough from the traffic-choked downtown area. It is about 45 minutes north of downtown Seattle. Moreover, there are plenty of restaurants and stores within a kilometer from the property.
positive:
Remarkable Happy Hour
The hotel provides a Happy Hour where there's a free beer, wine and light snacks for all guests. There are also freshly baked cookies for the kids to enjoy. When you stay here, make sure to attend the Happy Hour mostly held at the hotel's dining area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Unprofessional front desk staff at times
Some of the receptionists seemed to be more interested in checking their phones or watching football matches at the TV. Communicate with them nicely, but when you still experience poor customer service, you may wish to directly talk to the hotel manager.
negative:
Some rooms don't smell nice
Few rooms that are labeled non-smoking still smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Some smell strongly of air fresheners that, to some guests, are even worse than the smell of cigarette. You can call for a staff for this issue, or demand an immediate room transfer.
negative:
Disappointing buffet breakfast
The breakfast, although free, could be disappointing. Guests expressed their disappointment that the hotel uses Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. Some foods are not prepared well too. Luckily, there are a lot of dining options around the area that you can visit anytime.
