positive:
Convenient location
Although the area feels remote, Hampton Inn & Suites Scottsdale Riverwalk is a relatively quick drive from downtown Scottsdale, Old Town and other area attractions. The hotel is close to Salt River Fields where you can catch a spring training game and a short drive to area shopping, restaurants and bars. Also, it's walking distance to Talking Stick Resort Casino and Talking Stick Golf Club.
positive:
Nice rooms and good amenities
The hotel offers clean, functional rooms and amenities. The free breakfast is very tasty, the fitness center is a good size and the pool is clean and well maintained. Rooms are quiet and comfortable with convenient work stations and good showers. Suites include fridges and microwaves, which comes in handy for longer stays or if you are spending time in the room working and want convenience. Overall, the hotel offers very good value.
positive:
Superb staff and service
This well-run hotel has friendly staff on hand who are helpful and professional. They go out of the way to assist with requests and ensure you are comfortable during your stay. They even let you check-in early without hassle if the room is available.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise between rooms
Although the hotel appears new, the soundproofing between rooms isn't great. You you can hear noise from other guests, especially if you are unlucky and get rowdy neighbors.
negative:
Erratic air conditioning
The air conditioning is rather noisy and can be inconsistent. It's difficult to regulate the temperature in the main room and the bathroom and it often blows on you over the bed.
negative:
Limited guestroom amenities
Guestrooms do not have fridges or microwaves. You would at least expect a small fridge in the room, especially for a longer stay. If you will require this for your stay, make sure to book a suite.
