The hotel is close to the University of Wisconsin, State Street, and the Wisconsin State Capitol, which are some of the city's main attractions. All of these areas are within walking distance, which guests appreciated.

Many guests have said that this hotel feels modern and hip compared to most other Hampton properties and this makes the hotel much more attractive. The lobby and the rooms are well decorated, giving this hotel a very fresh feel.

Past guests have found the mattresses in the rooms to be very comfortable at this hotel. In addition, the rooms as a whole are quite comfortable and provide an excellent place for guests to relax when they aren't out exploring Madison.

Guests didn't like having to pay for parking at the Hampton Inn & Suites Madison Downtown. These guests thought that the cost of parking should be included in the price of the room and shouldn't be charged on top of it.
