Hotel Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City-Merriam (Merriam, USA)

The staff at the front desk of this hotel are incredibly polite and courteous. They have only guests’ best interests at heart and will do whatever it takes to help you out. This includes arranging transportation and even recommending restaurants.

This hotel is a little old, but the housekeeping staff do their best to keep it in spotless condition. The public areas are cleaned thoroughly, and the rooms are spotless. You might find signs of wear and tear, but overall it’s a clean hotel.

It’s not a very big pool, but guests are very impressed by how well-maintained it is. If you have kids, then it’s a great place to let them use up some of their energy before bed and the spa tub is ideal for a relaxing soak.

The train tracks that run by this hotel are busy all day and night so unless sleeping to the sound of engines is your thing then you might want to pack some earplugs. There’s also a bit of noise from the nearby highway too.

The décor at this place is very dated, and the rooms are like something from a couple of decades ago. The décor of the entire hotel could do with being updated to bring it into this century, and until it’s done, it’s probably a bit overpriced for what it is.
