Hotel Hampton Inn & Suites Columbia/Southeast-Fort Jackson (Columbia, USA)

The hotel has a very relaxed, serene and easy going atmosphere and this coupled with the warm and accommodating attitudes of the members of staff makes it a very pleasant hotel to stay at. The staff know the area well and offer suggestions on attractions that they think might be of interest.

Guests were very delighted by the hotel restaurants, breakfast menus. They found the items to be diverse and well prepared. All the dining tables were well placed and there was also plenty of seating space available.

The spacious rooms are well maintained and easy to manoeuvre in. Housekeeping is offered daily and everything is kept spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable and enough pillows are provided. Excellent tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each room.

The wireless internet connection at the hotel is quite weak in some rooms and the strength of the signal varies throughout the hotel. The speed is also relatively slow and only fitting for very light and easy web browsing.

A few guests grumbled about the thin walls. It was noted that noise carried easily from room to room and this was a major problem especially for those who had to get up early in the morning and couldn't fall asleep. Most affected had rooms facing the express way.

Some guests were of the belief that the rooms were too costly once you took into account the room rates against what was provided in the room. Quite a number felt they did not get value for their money.
