Hotel Hampton Inn & Suites Bluffton-Sun City (Bluffton, USA)

Everyone, in all departments - front desk, catering, cleaning etc - is just great. Very friendly, they are all incredibly helpful and serve to make the stay truly memorable.

A bit difficult to find; it’s the next turning after the Fire Station. It is, though, right on the highway and very conveniently placed for shops, restaurants and attractions, generally. It is, also, very convenient; only 10 minutes from 1-95. You don’t need to travel far for a fun night out. There’s a restaurant + bar across the parking lot. The atmosphere is infectious and a good time is had by all.

Rooms tend to be on the spacious side. They are well decorated, clean, comfortably furnished and welcoming. Corridors – often a breeding ground for noise and disturbance – are thankfully quiet.

The air-con in the room is extremely noisy and intrusive. It is one of few blots in a hotel where there are many impressive positives. There’s another noise problem to endure if your room is above the lobby. Ignore assurances from the front desk and insist on a room away from this area. If not, be aware of the constant coming and going noise – day and night.

The floor in the breakfast area gets very slippery but, as with almost everything here, mention it to the great members of staff and before you know … it’s sorted!

All vending machines are broken. There is an alternative in the on-site store but, at those highly inflated prices, starting that long-promised diet has some appeal.
