A number of guests to the hotel mentioned that it was particularly handy to the famous Mayo Clinic. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to the clinic and and number of users commented that the shuttle drivers were friendly and provided excellent service.

The Hampton Inn hot breakfast is as popular as ever at this hotel, but a number of guests expressed their frustration and disappointment at how crowded breakfast was. It seems that as the buffet was refilled, hoards of people swooped in and left the less tasty items for those not so quick off the mark to pick over.

Some guest reviewers felt that this hotel was starting to show its age with obvious signs of wear and tear, not just in the rooms, but also in common areas where carpets were frayed and amenities has lost their glean.
