Positive Reviews
positive:
Fabulous location
Guests have loved the location of the Hampton Inn Gatlinburg. As well as the magnificent backdrop provided by the Great Smoky Mountains, the hotel places you within walking distance of shops, dining, and cultural attractions, as well as within a short drive of the many tourist hotspots in Pigeon Forge.
positive:
Friendly and professional staff
The standard of service at this Gatlinburg hotel is very rarely an issue. Guests have frequently spoken highly of the staff, finding them friendly, approachable, and helpful no matter what the situation. The staff maintains this impressive service from the point of check-in to the point of departure.
positive:
Clean and comfortable rooms
Previous guests have found the quality of the rooms and suites here impressive. The accommodation is frequently described as spotlessly clean and most guests have found the beds comfortable. Other highlights of the accommodation have included the balconies and the free Wi-Fi.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Looks quite dated
Although guests have found the rooms and suites comfortable, they do tend to mention that the accommodation is starting to show its age. A dated appearance is probably not a significant concern but given that rates here are not particularly low, guests have expected better.
negative:
Noise concerns
Guests have indicated that the soundproofing at this hotel could be better. Noise from adjacent rooms is sometimes mentioned but a more significant problem seems to be the noise from the hotel’s parking lot and the road.
negative:
Parking issues
Previous guests have found the parking lot to be on the small side and, as a result, quite difficult to navigate. Also, there is no-one keeping an eye on the parking and guests have noticed non-guests use the facility, presumably to avoid the parking charges in town.
