Fancy and inviting lobby welcomes you
Hampton Inn Detroit-Madison Heights' reception area looks very inviting. The interior design is majestic yet not overwhelming to the eye. Add to that the bright smiles of the employees, and you get a nice welcome. Moreover, delicious coffee is offered at the lobby for 24 hours a day.
positive:
Efficient check-out process
The staff is kind enough to have everything ready before you proceed to the front desk for checking out. The bills have right information and if there are any conflicts, the employees settle it right away.
positive:
Clean and well-equipped bathrooms
The bathrooms are spacious, have upgraded amenities, and are extremely clean. There are no marks on the walls or molds on the showers. Moreover, you do not have to worry about the water supply since it is stable.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Elevator is often broken
There were times when only a single elevator worked. It is not that big and looks a bit outdated. However, the staff is always ready to assist you with your luggage. Moreover, taking the stairs can be good for your health.
negative:
Rooms sometimes have strange odor
There are times when sports teams stay at the hotel. The members put their dirty clothes and bags at the corridors, which emit bad odors. Some rooms smell musty. If you come across these issues, file an official complaint to the management so the guests will be reprimanded. Moreover, the staff is efficient in spraying air fresheners.
negative:
Issues with the breakfast
The food's taste is satisfactory. However, there are times when the supply runs out and you have to wait for 15 minutes at minimum. The area is crowded sometimes. Thus, if you are not that comfortable with this setup, you can eat at the restaurants outside the hotel.
