The location of the Hampton Inn Charlotte-Uptown across from the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention Center just a few minutes' walk from the Carolina Panthers Stadium is much appreciated by guests. It is the hotel of choice for several guests whenever they visit town. The hotel's shuttle service is another plus.

The rooms are comfortable, bright and fresh looking thanks to the newly renovated interiors. The rooms and the common areas of the hotel were completely refurbished and have new furniture, fixtures and floor/ window coverings.

The quality of service is described as "top-notch", "very friendly" and "efficient" by guests. The Check-in process is smooth and hassle free thanks to the booking app and the front desk staff, and the staff is happy to offer tips and recommendations for guests.

Several guests at the Hampton Inn Charlotte-Uptown pointed out that there is secure, covered parking at the hotel but that it is not free. Also at $15 per night, the parking charges are steep felt several guests.

When the hotel is busy, getting the elevator can be difficult and may involve long waits. This could be a problem in particular when one elevator is shut. The heated indoor pool is a plus for some but several guests felt that it is just too small to be of any use. There is an aquatics center close by which some guests preferred to use.

Some guests felt that the hotel is overpriced and not worth the tariff charged. Also the prices are variable and could vary with the seasons so several guests felt that the hotel is not good value for money.
