Hotel Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North (Calgary, Canada)

As the name of the hotel suggests the airport is extremely close which makes this ideal if you have a flight late at night or early in the morning and there is also a shuttle service provided which is quite convenient and in addition CrossIron Mills which is a large shopping centre with many different retail and food outlets is less than a 15-minute drive away.

The staff here work really hard to ensure that you have everything you need and endeavour to fulfil any requests that you may have in order that you have a pleasurable and enjoyable stay here with many being mentioned by name for their constant politeness, fantastic customer service and their cheerful nature.

With a buffet breakfast offering lots of choice in the morning you are going to start the day fuelled with energy. There is a cold selection with the usual cereals, bread, cheese, cooked meats etc. and also a hot option with sausage, eggs and everything you would expect. If you are in a hurry then there are also ready prepared bags ‘to go' and during the day there are light snacks available and drinks including free coffee in reception.

There have been some reports from previous guests of rooms not being cleaned thoroughly enough and rooms still being dirty from previous room occupants.

The Wi-Fi is very slow and even if you pay for a premium package upgrade you are still not guaranteed a faster speed with the connection constantly dropping and guests unable to stream or download.

Sometimes the heating doesn't work properly and sometimes the air conditioning is also ineffective so it can go from one extreme to the other.
