Hotel Hampton Inn Bar Harbor (Bar Harbor, USA)

This hotel is located just a few minutes’ walk from Acadia National Park. Downtown Bar Harbor where you’ll find lots of restaurants, bars and eclectic shops is less than a short walk away and you have the option of taking a city bus which stops right by the hotel. All of the area’s must-see attractions are close at hand.

This hotel is newly built and therefore the property is modern and clean. Comfortable beds ensure a good night’s sleep and most of the rooms afford spectacular views of the ocean or the mountains.

The staff at this hotel is friendly and knowledgeable and they welcomes you in with a smile. Their can-do attitude makes all the difference in your stay and they will supply you with an informational packet at check-in which includes recommendations for restaurants, sight-seeing and a map of the area.

Unfortunately, the walls and ceilings here are rather thin which may cause you to have a less than quiet stay. Not only can you hear the goings on in the room next to you, but noise emanating from the halls and the sound of footsteps above your head could keep you awake.

The pools at this hotel are rather small which makes it a great place for children to splash around, but that’s about it. If you’re in the mood to swim laps, you will be out of luck here.

This property is located at the top of a steep hill and while that affords fantastic views, the walk could prove difficult for those with low mobility issues.
