Hôtel Le Roosevelt Lyon (Lyon, France)

Although the hotel is not right in the very centre of Lyon, guests were nonetheless very happy with the location. They mentioned that there was much of interest in the immediate neighbourhood and the centre was easily accessible using the nearby metro or by means of a reasonable walk.

A remarkable number of guests reported that the found the beds to be especially comfortable, so affording them a very good night's rest. In fact, the word “comfortable” also often came up when guests were describing their room as a whole.

Again and again guests would mention how fantastic the staff had been during their visit. They were described as very friendly, and always seemed willing to help guests when approached with a query or concern.

While guests were generally happy enough with the hotel's breakfast itself, a significant number of guests felt it was extremely expensive for an ordinary continental buffet. It seems that they believed they could have got a better breakfast deal at a nearby café or bakery.

A number of guests were disappointed that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in their room. British visitors were especially unhappy that they couldn't kick back and enjoy a quick cuppa in their room after a long day out in Lyon.

A surprising number of guests felt that the hotel should have one of its “stars” removed, usually citing older décor and lack of public amenities as the reasons.
