Hôtel Bordeaux Clémenceau by Happyculture (Bordeaux, France)

This hotel is right in the middle of the city centre of town and will be close to many attractions and landmarks. There are dozens of restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance and it's no problem to find both rail and bus transportation.

The staff works hard to make things as nice as possible for the guests. They will make restaurant reservations and work with guests on special requests. Free coffee, bottled water, and candy are available in the lobby.

The rates are extremely affordable and give a comfortable stay for the prices paid. The hotel is clean, safe, and located near easy choices for breakfast. There is cheap and secure parking just next door to the hotel.

The rooms and baths are extremely small. If you're planning on some relaxation time in the room, this won't provide that feature. Instead, you'll need to use it only for sleeping and bathing. While the hotel advertises soundproofing, it is still possible to hear street noise and the air conditioning can't always keep up with the heat.

The hotel is very old and some of the room suffer from those historic quirks, like slanting ceilings on the top floor and temperamental water temperatures. The Wi-Fi is also temperamental and won't have great service. Some windows don't open and the lift is tiny.

The paint on interior rooms is chipping and peeling and the door hinges squeak loudly. Some tiles in the shower are missing and the beds tend to be rather hard. A little money spent on these tiny details would go far in giving a nicer overall stay.
