Positive Reviews
positive:
Professional and hands-on host
The host, Tania, was complimented for being very hands on, and someone who made sure her guests had everything they needed from her at each stage of their stay. It was certainly not a case of her booking them in and then disappearing.
positive:
Walking distance to the Vatican
Perhaps this should come as no surprise, but several guests
mentioned that it was within comfortable walking distance of St. Peter's and
the Vatican.
Also, though the rest of tourist Rome
was a bit further, it was said to be relatively simple to reach by public
transport.
positive:
Spotlessly clean
Whatever other small issues guests had with their room, its cleanliness certainly wasn't one of them. Again and again guests mentioned that their room was, quite simply, spotless when they checked in. It gave a very good first impression.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Poor English language skills
A number of guests mentioned that the host, while very friendly and helpful, had very limited English skills, and effective communication was a little difficult. This did seem to affect those whose native language was not English more than others, since there would be two parties with less than ideal language skills.
negative:
Rooms very small
Although guests generally approved of the room décor and amenities many claim that the rooms are substantially smaller than appears in the B&B's marketing materials. Aside from the simple disappointment this caused, they also felt the space was too small for two people to occupy comfortably.
negative:
Noisy road right out front
This was one of the more common complaints. Several guests mention that the street right out front is a busy one, with a lot of traffic. As a result many guests, especially light sleepers, had there sleep disturbed by cars zooming by at night.
