Gli Artisti is a quirky B&B with artistic flourishes, and is located in an absolutely ideal spot for visiting the spectacular Vatican Museums. The five rooms are modern and individually decorated by artists expressing their individual visions. Each features private bathroom, air conditioning, flat screen TV, seating area and in-room safe. This is a small property and there are not many facilities, but there is a kitchen guests are welcome to use, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. A basic Italian breakfast is available every morning, and tea and coffee is available from the vending machine throughout the day. The hosts will be happy to offer dining recommendations for the other meals. B&B Gli Artisti is in an incredible position for visiting the not to be missed Vatican Museums. The entrance is a mere 400 yards from the B&B. Rome’s meeting place with the world, the Spanish Steps, are approximate 1.6 miles away.
It seems that many of Gli Artisti's guests were in town to visit the museums, and found its location so close to the entrance a major boon. Considering the incredible queues to get in, guests were simply happy to be able to get into the queue without having to travel across the city first.
Many guests report very good dining experiences. Firstly, most had a very high opinion on the breakfast offered at the B&B, calling it varied and served in more than sufficient quantity. Secondly, a couple of guests specifically mention taking the hosts advice on good places to eat and being incredibly pleased with the result.
Guests couldn't say enough good things about the staff and the way they ran the B&B. For a start they were described as very welcoming and friendly, but more than that, guests said that they took care of the little things. This attention to detail made a very positive impression on the guests.
The reviews for Gli Artisti were overwhelmingly positive. One minor point, not often mentioned, was that the water pressure in the property was quite low, making showers a somewhat lacklustre experience.
While this point was also not often brought up, it does seem that the B&B is subject to a higher likelihood of power outages, as a result of circuits tripping, than many other places.
Only a couple of guest mentioned it, but it may be that the rooms do not have good internal soundproofing, allowing noise from the hallway, especially, to disturb guests at night
