Gianna's is a one-room B & B in the historic centre of Florence for a maximum 3 people. Large, sunny room on two levels with heating & air-conditioning. The bathroom (shower, basin, bidet, WC, hair-dryer, shower-cap) and 3rd bed are on the upper level. Towels, soap, shampoo provided. Double bed (or 2 singles), table & 3 chairs, 2 armchairs & kitchenette (fridge, electric kettle, sink, plates, cutlery etc for eating goodies bought at the market) are on the lower level. Lots of books & guide books. No TV but free Wifi access. NB The B & B is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift. The 34 stairs are not steep with a maximum 7 steps per flight. Continental breakfast served in your room at the time you choose. Complimentary fruit & snacks provided. The hosts are happy to help with museum reservations, restaurant bookings, tours, etc. Gianna's is close to the Mercato Centrale (a food-lovers' paradise), the Accademia (home to Michelangelo's David), St Mark's Museum & San Lorenzo Church. The B&B is a 15-minute walk from the main railway station and a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral. Urban bus stop about 120 m from the B&B. Luggage can be left before check-in (after 12 noon) & after check-out (10.30 am).
