The houses around Frisco Inn are mostly historic brick buildings with old-fashioned facilities. While the house is old, this hotel has remodeled in order to provide guests with modern rooms and new furnishings.

Guests should be aware that this is one of Amsterdam's most popular tourist areas. The hotel is quite close to many bars, cafes, and the Red Light District. For these reasons, the noise outside the hotel at night can be very loud.

Though modern in many respects, the hotel's staircase is typical for Amsterdam and old-fashioned, which means it is high and steep. Anyone with mobility issues or heavy luggage should be careful.

The small room is more bed than room, so don't expect much space to put down big pieces of luggage.
