Hotel Freedom Palace (Ocho Rios, Jamaica)

Most guests enjoyed having the nice fans in their rooms as it helped to cool the air. They also enjoyed that they had their own private balconies to use to sit and relax.

Many guests were very happy with the budget price of this hotel and were content with having a bed to sleep on and a roof over their heads. The rooms had fans and large balconies, while the location was close to the beach, and the hosts were friendly people.

The staff members were found to be friendly people who were very laid-back and enjoyed chatting with the guests. They felt at home with the hosts because they were more like a family away from home rather than professional hospitality people.

Some guests were baffled with finding their rooms to be very unclean as there were bugs and cobwebs throughout. The furnishings were used and very old and they were hot and stuffy. It seemed as though the rooms had not been cleaned in a while.

Although it advertises itself as a bed and breakfast according to some guests, there is no breakfast in the morning. They were annoyed that this was advertised and they had to figure out a way to cook their morning meal.

Some guests were annoyed that they paid for a room and got a bare and old looking accommodation that needed a lot of utensils. They mention there are no blinds, the kitchenettes has no kettles, cutlery and microwaves and the ovens did not work. The bathrooms needed serious plumbing work.
