Hotel Four Presidents Lodge (Keystone, USA)

Each guest room or suite has a rustic vibe to it with wooden finishes and all are relatively generous in size whether needing a room for one or two people or for a larger group or family. The microwave and fridge are also very useful, particularly for stays longer than a day or two.

The Lodge at Mount Rushmore gives each guest an opportunity to have a real home away from home experience with such conveniences as a laundry facility with washers and dryers and even a mailing office perhaps to send around some postcards.

The complimentary breakfast provided in the breakfast room is of good quality and enough to get you going for the day and the room is spacious enough for all guests even in busy seasons. There is also complimentary tea and coffee all day in the lobby.

There have been some instances of insects being found in rooms and messy areas of the grounds outside the hotel building and just generally needing a more thorough cleaning considering the pet-friendly nature of the hotel.

Aside from the breakfast and free coffee, there are no options for eating and drinking on site, so guests have to leave the premises for lunch, dinner and drinks. There is however a fridge and microwave in each room for smaller, simpler meals.

The prices charged at the hotel compared to others of a similar standard are higher, most likely due to its convenient location near Mount Rushmore and other parks as well as being in a more peaceful location than downtown Keystone which attracts a lot of tourists. If these are priorities for you then it's a good choice.
