Hotel Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chincoteague Island Waterfront (Chincoteague, USA)

Fans of nature will find this as an ideal place to stay with Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge just a short drive away and where you will see Chincoteague Ponies and many different types of waterfowl. You may even be lucky enough to see dolphins swimming in the channel by the hotel and there are also boat excursions for tours around Chincoteague Island which depart from the hotel's dock so it is right on the doorstep.

Previous guests have mentioned how impressed they were with the attention to detail from staff and how they always want to get things right and have things run smoothly and efficiently in order that you have an enjoyable trouble free stay and are always willing to give suggestions on where to eat and what you should visit whilst staying in Chincoteague.

At breakfast you can choose from a continental offering with cereals, pastries, fresh fruit or oatmeal along with a cooked option featuring the usual bacon, sausages, waffles etc. and all of this is ideal if traveling with children who can be quite picky at times.

If you have mobility issues then it may be advisable to contact the hotel beforehand as one guest was disappointed that they couldn't get their scooter out onto the room's balcony and also that the shower cubicle was not wheelchair accessible.

According to reports from some guests the walls are quite thin and it is possible to hear conversations from neighbouring rooms. Additionally there is a bar/restaurant next door to the hotel which can get busy and some found it too loud on an evening.

The pool has been described as too small by some previous guests although they did also mention that the decking area surrounding the pool is a good size and the pool does actually serve its purpose.
