Hotel Fênix (Adult Only) (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

Guests were very happy with the affordable prices at the hotel. It offers great value for money with a very comfortable stay. The continental breakfast is great with good variety and can be served in your room too, which guests found very convenient.

The presence of Jacuzzi and sauna is one feature which was loved by all the guests. The hot bath proved to be a perfect relaxing experience for them.

Guests found their accommodations to be larger than expected and extremely clean. The rooms as well as the bathrooms are quite clean and well-maintained by the friendly staff.

Many guests found it unnerving and scary to venture out of the hotel in the evenings. This is not one of the main tourist areas in Rio and hence, safety was a concern for many people who stayed here. The lack of convenience stores nearby was also felt sorely by travellers, especially at night.

Most of the hotel staff is not very well-versed in English which was a concern for many travellers. However, the hotel manager speaks good English and is generally available during day. The language barrier also has little effect on the service provided by the very warm staff.

Guests have been very critical of the noisy air-conditioning units installed in the rooms. They were also disappointed with the lack of noise isolation between adjacent rooms.
