Going through the reviews, one loses track of the number of times guests praise the hotel’s staff. They were complimented for being welcoming and friendly, but it seemed it was their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty when helping their guests that really impressed.

Guests were generally quite happy with the location of the hotel. Some found it convenient for the highways and roads that form the very nervous system of LA, while others commented that the drive to the beach did not take very long.

A number of guests mentioned in their reviews that they brought their pets along with them. Pretty much all of them felt that they were treated well, and that the hotel had decent facilities for them, including a dedicated space to exercise their dogs.

Guests who brought up the question of value for money at all overwhelmingly felt that they had received poor value. The very simple reason was that they considered the room rates to be on the high side, and the accommodation to be quite average, at best.

It was near impossible to find a kind word written about the breakfast. Guests after guest reported that it was incredibly basic, with not much more than cereal, coffee and maybe a pastry. The general feeling was that it was hardly worth bothering with.

A number of guests were surprised to find that their room, even though it featured a kitchenette, had no cups plates, cooking equipment and so on. While these are available from reception, guests mentioned this fact was not highlighted at check in, leaving some to think the kitchenettes were simply not equipped.
