Positive Reviews
positive:
Close to all the amenities
It seems that it was Es Salobar's location that most impressed guests. Though not really on the beach, or other similar tourist attraction, guest after guest mentioned that it was in a very convenient location for a self catering holiday. Often mentioned was a nearby supermarket and bakery, which were both said to be especially good.
positive:
Superb host
Again and again guests mention that their host, Juan, was simply superb. He was said to have innkeepers blood running through his veins, and offered a warm welcome whatever time of day a guest arrived. Also, he was said to be a wealth of useful local Mallorcan knowledge.
positive:
Good value for money
While most conceded that the apartments were a bit basic, many then went on to add that their room-rate was very reasonable indeed. Together with the position and helpfulness of the host they felt they received very good value for money.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very basic kitchenettes
This was a very common complaint. Guests said that, while they appreciated having the little kitchenette available, it really didn't have much of anything when it cam to equipment and crockery. May had to go out and buy even the most basic things like teaspoons.
negative:
Wi-Fi signal not strong enough
Several guests mentioned that, while the Wi-Fi was OK when they were connected, the signal was clearly not strong enough to reach all the rooms. Those furthest from reception seemed to get no service at all.
negative:
Not close to the sea
Naturally most guests had come to Mallorca in large part for the beaches and sea. It was mentioned that the apartments weren't all that close to the sea front, and some would have preferred to be a little closer.
