Positive Reviews
positive:
Very child friendly.
Staff - who are brilliant anyway - go a number of extra miles to ensure that any kids are kept happy. For instance, if there is a 'brood' in at mealtimes, they'll reconfigure the restaurant so that everyone sits together in a party type group setting.
positive:
Good location.
Near to where all the action is, you aren't stuck in the middle of nowhere twiddling your thumbs. The hotel is easy to spot from the road and equally easy to get to. There's plenty to do within a short walking distance of the hotel. Inside, the gymnasium is particularly good and the lobby and communal areas are very well maintained.
positive:
Spacious rooms.
As with other areas, rooms are very clean and well maintained. They are also spacious, particularly the suites which cost a bit more but come with really useful 'extras'.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Needs updating.
It's starting to show it's age and if it is going to continue to merit the tariffs charged-and in the face of stiff competition-it needs to re-invest fairly PDQ. The air conditioning is of a bygone age and can't cope and there seem to be some plumbing problems in the rooms.
negative:
Expensive.
At these prices you don't expect to pay an additional parking fee; but, guess what! Of course, the 'freebies', such as breakfast, have been incorporated in the quite hefty tariff and paid for by you! Consequently, it seems reasonable to criticize the nibbles at the 'free' Reception, which seem limited to chips!
negative:
A window on the busy breakfast.
Breakfast can descend into something nearing chaos as the number of guests exceeds the dishes prepared. Bedroom windows appear not to have been cleaned (outside) for some time.
