Hotel Elgoni Apartments (Piskopiano, Greece)

There were said to be a few spots that had a great view over the rooftops to the sea beyond. The hotel's small terrace was said to be such a place, and guests mentioned that it was a wonderful spot to sit and gaze out over the sea.

While guests tended to enjoy the pool area in general, saying it was a lovely spot, what most seemed to impress them was that there were enough sun loungers for all. Unlike most hotels, Elgoni Piskopiano seems to have planned for enough loungers when considering the number of guests it accommodates.

Guests mention that the Elgoni Apartments are a family run concern where the owner, Nikos, tends to lead from the front by being very welcoming, and making sure that his guests have all they need for their holiday. The rest of the family and staff seemed to follow in his footsteps and were also roundly praised.

Guests mention that the dogs in the area seem to bark a lot more than is usually the case. Why this was so wasn't really discussed, but it was said it could get very bad at night, leading to disturbed sleep for some.

While it seems most guests were unfazed by this, a few said that they found the rooms a bit too basic. They felt that, irrespective of the room rate, a hotel should make an effort to beautify their rooms. In their view this had not happened at Elgoni Piskopiano.

A couple of guests pointed out that the showers in their rooms didn't have anywhere to hook the shower head, meaning they had a very awkward shower while holding it in their hands.
