Hotel Edelweiss Lodge (Mammoth Lakes, USA)

Travellers who stayed in the cosy cabins had nothing but nice things to say about their stay here. Specifically, they liked the spaciousness of the place adding that it is equipped with all the extras you could need including a well-stocked kitchen with utensils, cookware and more, a separate living area and a fireplace. Others remarked the cabin served as the perfect hideout for a couple of days.

Many guests remarked that the owners who love on property are quite friendly, helpful and accommodating. Others noted that the staff is highly responsive and make you feel right at home.

Guests who have dogs liked that the hotel welcomed their pets with gracious hospitality including providing a lovely welcome gift basket for them. People noted that the area is ideal for exploring, swimming and staying active, while others said that they would be returning because the hotel is pet-friendly and they would recommend it to their friends and family visiting the area.

One thing that guests didn't like was that the shower didn't get hot enough and it seemed to lack in quantity during their stay. The less than stellar water temperature seems to be an inconvenient drawback.

Travellers who are used to contemporary accommodations will not find that at this lodge which has been in operation since the late 1950s. Specifically, guests were not fans of the old furniture and decor.

While the hotel is super dog-friendly, guests who do not have pets did notice the animal smell in their rooms. Others noted that their room smelled strongly of dogs and the odor never went away while they were there.
