Critics mentioned hotel had shortcomings
Cleanliness and maintenance could have been better, according to several guests who encountered insufficiently cleaned bathrooms, stained carpets, dirty windows, outdated furnishings, worn mattresses, tired-looking decor, dim lighting and slow-draining water in some rooms. The small dining area and limited choice of fresh food at breakfast also attracted criticism from some quarters.
negative:
Annoying noises and smells
Light sleepers wished soundproofing measures could have been boosted because they were sometimes disturbed by nuisance noise from neighbouring rooms and corridors. Musty odours also inconvenienced critics in certain rooms.
