Hotel Econo Lodge (Oceanside, USA)

Convenient to Oceanside, the beaches and major highways and just half an hour or so north of San Diego attractions, the hotel's location was one of the best things about this Travelodge according to many guests. They also appreciated the nearby convenience stores and gas stations.

While this hotel received a number of negative reviews, some guests found it acceptable for a night or two. Budget minded travelers liked the price and those who had been concerned about the negative reviews said the hotel was a good, no-frills choice and fine for their needs.

Most guests found the staff friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the local area.

Guests reported numerous complaints about this hotel including dirty and stained carpeting, leaking showers, cracked bathroom tiles, broken light fixtures and lack of hot water. Although the hotel's website described the facilities as remodeled, some guests said the rooms bore little resemblance to the advertised pictures. Other complaints included musty and mildewed odors and poorly functioning air conditioning units. Some guests who reported problems with their accommodations said management was not very responsive to concerns.

Some guests expressed concerns about the area around the hotel and described it as seedy and unsafe. Others reported public intoxication and drug use and a few worried about leaving their cars in the hotel's parking lot.

Noise from adjacent rooms and from the area around the hotel kept some guests from getting a good night's sleep.
