A number of guests were impressed with the building itself. They described it as a converted industrial building and found the renovation to be nicely done and also simply liked the fact that they were not staying in the typical cookie cutter hotel typical of this category.

Guests liked the fact that the hotel was right off the interstate, since it meant that they could quickly access the highway system and be on their way without first having to negotiate busy city streets.

This was perhaps the most frequently mentioned positive. Guests said that the beds were particularly comfortable and allowed them to get a good night’s rest.

This was a very common complaint. Guests said that they experienced noise from both inside and outside the property. On the inside, the walls were said to be “paper thin” and not at all useful blocking out the sound from the hallway and adjacent rooms. The proximity of the highway and its on-ramp was also an issue, with guests saying that they could easily hear the sound of cars heading towards the highway.

It was rare to find a guest happy with the breakfast offered by the hotel. They mentioned that there was not a great variety available, and that what was there was not well prepared and often served at the wrong temperature.

A number of guests reported having run-ins with staff members. The specific complaints were many, ranging from simple rudeness to illegal/unethical conduct, but whatever the specific problems, they left a sour taste in guest’s mouths.
