Hotel Duomo Firenze (Florence, Italy)

Hotel Duomo is centrally located and many of Florence's attractions can be accessed by foot. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is just metres away and in less than ten-minutes' walk you'll find the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, Casa Martelli museum, Palazzo Strozzi and Santa Maria Novella Basilica and museum just to name a few. There's also a choice of cafes and restaurants within the local area.

The hotel is well placed so that all rooms offer a view. The simplest rooms had a view of the courtyard while others showcased views of the cathedral, the hills and local neighbourhood. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet can be enjoyed either inside or on the patio and includes fruit, pastries, yoghurt, cheese, cold meats, coffee and fruit juice.

The multi-lingual staff have been described as friendly, welcoming and helpful especially with providing tourist information, giving guidance and making recommendations for sites to see or restaurants to try.

Different sized rooms are offered and some guests found their rooms to be small, while others described the rooms as tiny and having insufficient space to comfortably store luggage.

Some guests felt that the rooms were not accurately represented in the photos, commenting that the rooms appeared to be old and the decor was also outdated.

Although the windows are soundproofed, some guests found the walls to be ‘thin' with the sound of neighbouring guests being clearly audible in their room.
