Polite and helpful staff
One of the first things guests brought up in their reviews was that the hotel’s staff acted very professionally. They were particularly impressed with how polite they were, and also the lengths they would go to when helping guests to resolve an issue.

Great when visiting 3M
A number of the business visitors had appointments at 3M’s corporate headquarters. Guests found the hotel convenient when headed there, since it was just a mile away.

Spotlessly clean
Again and again guests would mention that they could find no problems related to cleanliness in their rooms. They felt that housekeeping did a good job getting the room clean before they arrived and continued to keep it in tip top shape.

Problems with the hot tub and pool
Guests had a couple of problems with these two amenities. For many, the pool was not sufficiently heated to be able to really enjoy it, especially in the colder months. Guests also didn’t like that boisterous kids were not told to calm down by staff and that the jets on the hot tub would often not work.

No complimentary breakfast
Guests definitely did not start their day off well. Firstly, many expected breakfast to be included in the room rate, as it is in many similar hotels. It is not included here, but what seemed to upset them most was that even after paying they received what they regarded as a sub-standard meal.

Décor looking very tired
This was perhaps the most common complaint. Guests believed that the rooms had not been renovated for quite some time, and desperately needed a full makeover now if the hotel was going to remain competitive in the future.
