Hotel Dorado Ferial (Bogotá, Colombia)

Travellers staying in town on business have been particularly impressed by this hotel's proximity to the Corferias convention centre and the ease with which the airport can be reached (even by bus). A great many visitors also liked having plenty of restaurants and a large shopping centre within walking distance.

It has been noted with some satisfaction that the American-style buffet breakfast proffered here is surprisingly generous and really quite tasty. Needless to say, many guests loved the fact it''s free.

Numerous guests have been won over by the upbeat staff who work here. Reception, kitchen and housekeeping operatives came in for particular praise, as did the relentlessly chipper and ever-helpful general manager.

A significant number of unimpressed visitors have complained about the noise generated from the busy intersection directly in front of the hotel. Evidently, the soundproofing here is not as effective as it needs to be.

It's fair to say a fair number of the guest rooms at this property are pretty small. Indeed, quite a few guests have said they felt a little short-changed by the amount of space they had to play with here.

Very few guests had good things to say about the showers in the guest rooms. A lack of hot water in the evenings and precariously slippy floors were the main bugbears highlighted.
