Hotel Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Prattville-Montgomery (Prattville, USA)

There are no airs and graces here, but everything is clean and ship-shape and represents good value. The pool is particularly impressive. There are many things that are spot on here; not least, the price. Extremely competitive + difficult to beat.

This is great golfing country and the hotel is the closest one to the Robert Trenton Jones course. OCharley’s Restaurant is right next door.  It’s on the main road which runs through Prattville, so there are plenty of other restaurants (and shops) to choose from.*Some restaurants offer a discount to guests.

Front desk personnel are friendly and welcoming. In fact, everyone here is customer orientated-even the breakfast staff who are setting up for breakfast at a time so early that many guests didn’t know it existed...+ still, they are friendly!

There’s not much to choose from. Breakfast is something of a non-event.  There’s not a lot of staff motivation here. Nothing is on display and when it arrives, hot food is … cold!  There’s also a distinct shortage of waffle-irons. A neighboring café is a much better bet.

The curtains don’t pull fully across the window, so the light coming in is annoying. You can also see people walking past which is another guarantee of a poor night’s sleep. For many, a further factor in the non-sleeping stakes is the standard of pillows – they’ve been likened by many to be like a brick.

Non-smoking rooms smell of smoke and the solution seems to be to spray it with air freshener, rather than offer an immediate transfer.
