Reviewers are routinely surprised at the high standard of the breakfast buffet. The continental spread is complimentary and is a welcome shock of a morning to guests who don’t expect such quality and quantity given the already extremely fair room rate.

While the hotel isn’t the most luxurious around, it is certainly one of the most reasonably priced. For those that don’t need to be right in the city center, and just want a great night’s sleep for a very attractive rate, this establishment comes highly recommended.

Warm, welcoming and quick to check you in, front-of-house staff are frequently thanked for their part in making stays happy ones. Knowledgeable and kind receptionists go out of their way to foster a home from home atmosphere that has some guests returning time and again.

While the majority of recent guests are more than satisfied with their stay, historically some have experienced hit-and-miss housekeeping. Stained carpets, broken furnishings and electrical outlets, moldy shower curtains and smells of smoke and damp are among some issues that tarnish occasional experiences

According to some guests, the area immediately around the property feels a little unsafe. Unsavory characters around the surrounding streets can unnerve some guests, and at night poorly lit areas can be especially scary, particularly for female travelers. Guests appreciate the night security guard.

While most guests enjoy unbroken sleep, some struggle because of disturbances from noise. Walls are paper-thin meaning that sound from neighboring rooms and corridors can annoy. According to some under-slept patrons, the hotel’s management don’t do enough to silence partying guests.
