Guests found the hotel to be simple yet has all the basics you might need for your stay such as a decent-sized room, a microwave and a fridge. They concluded that this no-frills option was what one would except for the rather affordable rate and therefore ideal for a short stay.

The hotel is a great alternative to the expensive hotels in the area if you want to be near Six Flags Magic Mountain and the Castaic Lake Recreation Area, which are less than 15 minutes away. Guests also liked that there are plenty of dining opportunities near the hotel and that you can easily reach the highway for quick access to the city and many popular attractions.

Guests stated that the staff was friendly and tried to be as accommodating as possible when it came to special requests, last-minute changes or early check-ins.

As guests noted, the furniture is rather worn, the carpets are old and dirty, the beds don't feel too comfortable and the walls are stained. Moreover, some guests pointed out that there was a stale permanent cigarette odor and the air-conditioning units should be replaced with newer efficient ones.

Several guests had trouble with the showers, as these were not draining correctly, had little water pressure and at times no hot water at all. Some also pointed out that the phones, radios and TVs did not work and were not immediately replaced.

As a few guests reported, the hotel sometimes canceled reservations without informing guests first due to credit card issues or late check-ins.
