The biggest draw for many guests was the proximity to LEGOLAND, which can be reached after only two exists on the highway. But they also liked that you can easily walk to the nearby grocery store, the beach and many diverse restaurants.

Guests noted that the rooms are quite large and equipped with such helpful amenities as a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker.

The staff was reported to be friendly and professional and tried its best to accommodate special requests like early check-ins or different room configurations.

As many guests pointed out, the hotel is situated right along the San Diego Freeway, which according to them makes the traffic noise unbearably loud particularly at night. They noted that you might be able to sleep when bringing ear plugs along, but the noise also affected time spent at the pool, which they stated was less than enjoyable.

As some guests pointed out, the rooms are starting to age and could use some new furniture, bedding and décor. Some of the rooms also were not as clean as guests would have liked, which were mostly issues of cleanliness that seemed to have existed for quite some time such as permanent stains and significant dust buildup.

A few guests would have liked the pool to be open past 8 p.m., and breakfast was stated to be nothing overly impressive. But as guests noted, it is free, after all, so the toast, pastries and waffles are better than nothing.
