Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient location
Aside from the convenience of being able to access the hotel from Interstates 20, 59, and 359, guests have appreciated the proximity of the airport, as well as the various sightseeing opportunities in the area. The hotel has also proved popular for guests who are visiting students at The University of Alabama.
positive:
Friendly service
The staff at this Tuscaloosa hotel offer a high standard of service to guests. The reception staff, in particular, are found to offer an efficient service and seem happy to assist guests. Check-in runs smoothly and guests have felt able to approach the staff with any questions.
positive:
Clean and spacious rooms
The quality of the rooms and suites at this hotel has satisfied previous guests, with many describing the accommodation as clean and reasonably spacious. Most guests have found the beds are comfortable and very few have encountered any problems with the Wi-Fi.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Minor disappointments in rooms
Although guests find a lot to like about the rooms here, some have noted the lack of microwaves and mini-fridges, commenting that they felt rooms of this price range should include these extras. Guests have also found the rooms a little too dark and mentioned they looked a little dated.
negative:
Occasional understaffing issues in the restaurant
Guests have occasionally found the staffing levels in the hotel’s restaurant insufficient. Unfortunately, this issue seems to raise its head mostly in the morning at breakfast time when many guests are keen to eat and be on their way.
negative:
Rates can seem high
Previous guests have found the room rates here a little on the high side for what is essentially an out of town hotel with fairly average rooms. Guests also note that the maximum occupancy of the rooms forces larger family groups to pay for two (expensive) rooms.
