positive:
Modern, well-designed accommodation.
Rooms and suites are beautifully modern and very attractive,
with tasteful décor and furnishings. The layout of every room is well-thought
out, providing the maximum amount of space possible in each instance. All
spaces, including en suite bathrooms are well-maintained and spotlessly clean.
positive:
Contemporary, open spaces and features.
Courtyard Detroit presents a fresh and contemporary approach to hotel open spaces, with a casual living room style to their lobby area, making it feel very warm and inviting and also, very inclusive and comfortable. The hotel’s public spaces are all well-maintained and very clean.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast costs extra.
This hotel does not provide a complimentary breakfast option as a standard feature and guests must order breakfast at the onsite bistro bar or café which is a totally separate charge from the normal room rate.
negative:
Thin walls means limited privacy.
Hotel room walls are quite thin which ultimately means that overall room privacy is actually quite limited as it is very easy to hear just about everything going on in other rooms. This also means that business travelers may have a harder time getting work done or getting a good night’s rest before an early flight or appointment.
negative:
First floor sliding doors don’t open.
All hotel rooms are equipped with balconies with sliding
doors. Curiously all sliding doors to first floor balconies are only able to
open partially, an apparent security measure reserved for first floor rooms.
