Staff give a friendly welcome when you arrive and you are also greeted with complimentary coffee, cookies, bottled water and a newspaper. This is a really hospitable welcome and is something that is really enjoyed by guests. There are also books available to borrow in a small lending library with something for children as well. .

The hotel has a really convenient location just off the interstate which makes this an ideal place for business travellers or for an out of town place to stay if you don't want to pay the more expensive prices of downtown Lexington which is just a 15-minutes' drive away. Lexington has so much to offer such as the University of Kentucky and many shopping malls, bars and restaurants. .

Facilities in the room are really handy with a fridge and a microwave and there is also cable television with lots of channels. Some rooms also feature a Jacuzzi tub which is the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day. .

There have been reports from some guests that the walls are quite thin and it is possible to hear guests in adjoining rooms and in corridors. Some also mentioned noise from the parking lot and from the roads, which disturbed their sleep.

According to reviews from some guests the air conditioning units in rooms don't work effectively and rooms can be either too hot or too cold. .

Some rooms and some areas of the hotel are looking old, outdated and in need of an update, but there are reports from more recent reviews that there is an ongoing refurbishment and this should alleviate any problems.
