Convenient Shopping and Dining
The hotel is located inside the Birch Run Premium Outlets, which makes bargain hunting exceedingly easy, and there are several different restaurants also within walking distance. The hotel is also just ten miles from Frankenmuth, a Bavarian-inspired town which is home to Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, billed as "the world's largest Christmas store," as well as the famous Zehnder's restaurant.

Quiet and Relaxing
Despite the hotel's proximity to the Interstate, most guests found that the hotel was a very relaxing environment, and few experienced problems with noise either from traffic or from other guests in the hotel.

The Country Inn and Suites by Carlson Birch Run offers a complimentary breakfast, and most guests found the food to be well-made and of good quality. Guests mentioned menu items including eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and fresh fruit.

Awkward Bathroom
Some guests felt that the layout of the bathroom made the room difficult to use. The vanity took up too large a portion of the room and the sink was too close to the door, giving the bathroom an overall confining sense.

Numerous guests had issues with the hotel's cleanliness. The bathrooms in particular seem to be in need of more thorough cleaning, but guests also mentioned such problems as dirty carpeting, dust and finding trash or leftover food in the rooms which had not been disposed of by housekeeping.

Could Use Some Remodeling
Based on visitor's comments, it seems that the hotel may be a little overdue for refurbishment. Guests complained of stained carpets and bedding and worn-out furniture in the rooms. A few guests also mentioned finding mold growing near the air conditioning unit.
