Hotel Cook's Motel (Panama City Beach, USA)

While this is a traditional motel and thus not a destination that is high on luxury amenities, guests say that the trade-off is that this is a highly affordable location that is a tempting spot for those looking to stay on a strict budget during their beach vacation, whether it's a large family or a group of spring breakers.

Cook's lies very close to the sands of Panama City Beach. The surf itself is only a quick mile from the motel's entrance, and this relative ease-of-access is a boon for guests when combined with value pricing.

This motel is far from being in the middle of nowhere, and a bounty of local attractions are within walking distance. Zoo World, the Beach Art Group, the Palms Conference Center, Race City, Cobra Adventure Park, and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf are all roughly a five-minute walk from the motel.

Most guests are decidedly unimpressed with the quality of the cleanliness of these rooms. Guests describe the rooms as dirty overall, with some going so far as to use the word "filthy." Specifically, carpets are old, stained and not well taken care of, and some found their bed sheets to be soiled upon check-in.

Several guests complain that the in-room bathrooms did not fare much better than the sleeping quarters. Specifically, shower leaks are cited as a problem, as well as an absence of shower liners which contributes to bathroom flooding.

Guests say that the Wi-Fi disappoints. The Internet connection either moves too slowly for their tastes, or doesn't work at all.
