Hotel Comfort Suites University Area Notre Dame-South Bend (South Bend, USA)

Guests appreciated the positive attitude of Comfort Suites University Area’s staff. They were very accommodating and welcomed all the guests with a warm greeting. They went beyond the extra mile to assist guests with all their needs and special requests, as well as provide accurate and useful information.

Due to its close proximity to restaurants, schools, and Interstate highway system, guests are impressed with the hotel’s practical location. Airport and train stations are also nearby. In addition, the hotel is just a short walking distance to South Bend’s major establishments.

Most guests were satisfied with the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna within the hotel. It is a perfect spot to relax and unwind, and has plenty of lounges seating area provided for guests. The hot tub and sauna are also very spacious and can accommodate people in large groups.

Guests complained about some events on-site that were very noisy, and created disturbance to most of the guests who were checked-in. Furthermore, due to the thin wall structure, guests could easily hear loud talking from the other rooms, even loud snoring.

The quality of the bathrooms is low according to guests, and they totally need serious renovation. Most of the showers heads, toilet bowls, and sinks were unclean, and had some stains all over. The ceiling also needs repaint while the doors, tiles, and tubs have to be replaced.

Most guests were upset with the complimentary breakfast. Meal was very basic which included eggs, sausages, and waffles that were overcooked most of the time and greasy. There are restaurant options within the area though, such as Steak ‘N shake and Jimmy John’s.
