The room is large and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is fine and the fact that it’s free makes it even more appealing. If you are around during the early afternoon period, they bring on the free cookies. Nice touch, that. Rooms are clean and cleaning staff members are very thorough.

There are a number of handy convenience stores in the neighborhood plus the equally handy KFC, Wendy’s and IHOP. The hotel is pleasingly quiet. If a light sleeper, ask for a third floor room.

Members of staff are friendly and laid back … one or two go too far in this direction! For the main part, they’re great. Very attentive on the front desk and it’s a welcome surprise to see lifeguard cover around the indoor pool.

Staff members covering breakfast seem uncharacteristically off-hand, disinterested and detached from the entire exercise. Items and utensils run out with monotonous regularity. Staff members need to be constantly prompted to rectify these situations. Breakfast itself is fairly ordinary.

Tiles in the shower area are broken and chipped, causing the shower curtain to allow water to flood the bathroom floor. These things happen … but there is no effort to rectify them. Similarly, bed linen is missing, but reporting it to the front desk falls on deaf ears.

It’s OK going to the airport but falls down on the return trip. Prepare to hang around waiting, even after being told by the hotel that it will be there ‘in a few minutes’. Desperation has been known to result in guests cadging a lift from shuttle services provided by other hotels.
