The staff here are very friendly and hospitable and display amazing customer service at all times from checking in to checking out. Many have been mentioned by name and singled out for always going above and beyond to ensure that you have a memorable stay here.
You are allowed to bring your pets along for an additional charge and there is even a space set aside for a dog walking area. Staff even go as far as to give you a goody bag with some treats which is an unexpected, but very nice surprise.
Downton Staunton is around 15-minutes away and the hotel is located just off I-81 so you shouldn’t have any problems in finding the place. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and there is also a 24-hour Walmart just down the road if you want to stock up on things for your room.
Previous guests have commented on the appearance of the hotel with carpets being dirty and stained and in need of being replaced or at least given a thorough deep cleaning. There is also a musty smell in bathrooms and is starting to look quite tired and worn in places.
The breakfast room can get become quite overcrowded if the hotel is particularly busy and staff don’t always replenish items. They can often close up earlier than they should as well so you need to get down early if you want to eat.
As the hotel is located not too far from a train track you may get disturbed by noise and there are currently renovations taking place so the construction may also be a disturbance.
