Hotel Comfort Inn & Suites New Orleans Airport North (Kenner, USA)

Rooms are nicely furnished and include a really comfortable bed. It’s close to downtown – but hotel costs are much higher there. You can get the shuttle to the airport and then the service bus which takes you to downtown. Very easy and cheaper than a cab.

Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Staff members are very efficient and ultra-helpful.

The free airport shuttle is a real bonus for many. It runs 24 hours too, so no worries about it not operating. The airport is really close to the airport but there’s hardly any noise. Well … really light sleepers might be better off somewhere else, but most guests will be OK.

Breakfast isn’t free here. In fact it’s quite expensive. It’s OK, but fairly run of the mill. A cafe is a better bet, financially. Having said that, you need a cab or bus to get anywhere. Nowhere is really walkable. Lunch and dinner costs in the restaurant seem quite reasonable, so that’s a useful plus.

Pillows are really small and quite uncomfortable. Other niggling little things include the fitness room which is very small, with limited equipment.

The toilet leaks and refuses to flush. Seems like a common problem and you wonder about the general state of the plumbing. If you’ve got an early start, just hope they remember to turn the hot water on or your shower will be … bracingly cold!
